PONDO TRAIL
Coastal trek along the Pondo Trail, guided by Wild Child Africa conservation and wildlife expert.
Anyone can hike the Wild Coast – what defines this is the Wild Child Africa Experience. A carefully chosen part of the 311km Wild Coast.
Catered by the local Amapondo people and guided by the Wild Child himself, Matt Botha, there is no better way to truly experience what this coastline has to offer. Matt’s knowledge and love for wildlife and conservation, combined with his knowledge and passion for Africa, and particularly the Wild Coast, makes him the perfect adventure companion.
THE GREATEST SHOAL ON EARTH
The stage is set for the natural marine phenomenon of the sardine migration. For an 8-week window, millions of sardines get caught in cold counter currents which attract a massive number of oceanic predators and which ultimately results in a feeding frenzy of mammoth proportions.
Excursions will be enjoyed by chopper to gain an aerial view of the marvel, and by boat, for an up close and personal snorkelling experience in the middle of the shoal. Dolphin and whale viewing over this time is absolutely prime!
